"I will never be able to thank you enough for being who you are and for giving her something to look forward to everyday. I’m so thankful that I had you to guide me."
EOL Client, Fall 2022
I have been practicing yoga for 27 years when I took my class for pregnant Moms. I taught children’s yoga in Monteverde, Costa Rica, where I lived for 11 years. I joined “The Great Resignation” in 2022 and higher education to share the gifts of yoga and EOL journeying with others. I studied End of Life Guidance through a University of Vermont course, and received a certificate of successful completion.
Less than a week after completing my graduate degree, I joined a group of growers and consumers and ultimately created a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm outside of Washington, D. C. After six years of full time farming, my small family and I moved to the Monteverde Region of Costa Rica for eleven years where I served as the Country Director of a non-governmental organization focused on small-scale community development projects.
Upon my return to the U.S., I served as an administrative and adjunct faculty member in higher education for twelve years in two universities. I left higher education in 2022 to pursue a new and deeper way to connect with people and facilitate positive, meaningful, and transformative impacts in their life and death journeys.
I guide clients of all ages and backgrounds in End of Life (EOL) matters and yoga/meditation. I pursued my EOL studies at the University of Vermont, and successfully completed their program in October, 2022.
My Jack Russell Terrier Mix, Yaku, and I are an Alliance for Therapy Dogs Certified Pet Therapy Team. I am a Hospice and Red Cross volunteer, certified in First Aid and CPR, and speak Spanish fluently.
I offer specially curated private yoga classes to individuals and groups at mutually agreed upon times and locations. I have enjoyed exploring all types of yoga since my first class for pregnant Moms. I hold certifications in Children’s Yoga, Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) Yoga, and am an RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. I taught Children’s Yoga in Monteverde, Costa Rica, and offer Yoga in Reno and SUP Yoga at Lake Davis, CA (seasonally).
My previous life and work experience have prepared me for the vocation of helping others live and die with intention, dignity, and less fear. I look forward to working for you.
In addition to my credentials I am a Hospice and Red Cross volunteer and Red Cross Certified in First Aid and CPR. I also speak, read, and write Spanish fluently.
